Your eye test is funded by the NHS as many conditions such as glaucoma, high blood pressure, and diabetes are much easier to manage if they are caught early. We can help diagnose you with any of these conditions during your sight test. Regular checks are for the benefit of everyone, the patient and the NHS.

Our frames are of high quality and come with a one- or two-year guarantee depending on the frame. We carry a wide selection of frames from multiple budget suppliers to high street names like Radley and Superdry – within that range, the price can vary but we have something for all. Our lenses are bespoke and measured for each patient. We always strive to achieve the best possible glaze, meaning as clean and thin a finish on the lenses as possible. Our lenses come with a hard coat (anti-scratch) and multi-antireflective coatings as standard. We have a range of varifocal and bifocal designs which vary in price depending on complexity and the level of technology used in the lens design, Our standard lens is great but if you want the latest technology for the widest possible view then our more advanced lenses are what we would recommend but it does cost more.

There are several different densities of materials we can use. The denser the material the thinner the lens will be, generally. We have many different options for lens density and thinning of prescriptions. We want to make sure you are very happy with your new spectacles when we bring them back to you. We can offer clear, tinted, polarised or photochromic/transition lenses including extra-active transition lenses (which work better indoors compared to typical transition lenses). We are more than happy to talk you through our recommendation for your next spectacles and our advice is based on the examination and what we think is best.

Our services include complete at home eye testing and eye examinations, including contact lens fitting if desired, advice on frame fit, lens type, lens extras and suitability for lifestyle and mobility, all measurements and fitting of your selected the frame(s) and any aftercare required i.e. adjustments and repairs, where possible. At Halcyon Vision Ltd, we do not provide "just a pair of glasses," or “just an eye test,” our service will help maintain your vision and care for your eye health.
